Bill Dawson, the last surviving member of the original Navy SEALS team (known as frogmen) turned 94 on Thursday. The team was originally known as Naval Combat Demolition Unit, the first of their kind. Mr. Dawson also served his hometown of Washington, DC, as a firefighter. Join us in wishing him a happy birthday, heartfelt thanks for his service to our country during WWII and as a firefighter. This is his story as told in an American Veterans Center interview from July 18, 2017. He has also written a book called Before They Were SEALS, They Were Frogs.
